Spare Parts & Lead Time Improvement
Problem Statement:

Client’s acquisition of spare parts impacting business in terms of execution timeframes and escalating costs demanded by OEM’s.
Rigmech Actions:

Rigmech has addressed multiple obsolescence issues by means of reverse / re-engineering and manufacturing components to meet client & technical requirements on business critical equipment. Demand for replacement parts on short lead times have resulted in either ‘like for like’ or ‘fit for purpose’ solutions offered and accepted to either meet or exceed service requirements. The range of manufacture include specialised fabricated items and precision machined components.

All these scopes have involved Rigmech Engineer input as follows;

Site attendance to remove / disassemble ex-service machinery to obtain sample components

Prepare ex-service components for reverse engineering process including but not limited to;

Obtain Geometrical data.

Obtain material data.

Structural information.

Generate Engineering Drawings (referencing engineering standards to account for sample component wear / damage etc).
-
Manufacture components to agreed specification.
-
Install / trial fit components to ensure fit for service and commission where applicable.
